Natural Resource Info Pool

The Natural Resource Info Pool is a meta-data database. Its main purpose is to act as a repository for contacts related to data sets that are external to the government collected and maintained data sets. It is a pool of contact information acting as a focus for non-government organisations to contribute their data sets and resources and share their information.

The Natural Resource Info Pool interfaces provide two main functions. The following information briefly describes each function.

The first function is an online search engine where anyone can search and retrieve meta-information regarding available data sets and resources. This may be found here.

Upload and Modify Forms

The second function allows users to actively contribute meta-information regarding resources they may have, so that these resources can be shared with others. A simple login process is required to access this area (which may require an initial registration), but, once logged-in users can upload meta-information regarding their data sets or resources via an online web form, or modify any previously uploaded information.
