Event Monitoring

The National Action Plan Queensland water quality program has been monitoring sediment and nutrient loads during storm events. The results of this monitoring are particularly important due to the magnitude of loads being washed downstream during these times.

By combining recent monitoring with historical data, the National Action Plan is developing a variety of products relating to Event Monitoring. These include:

These information sheets present Event Mean Concentrations (EMC), sediment and nutrient to discharge relationships and load estimates for samples collected during storm events. They provide overviews of load-based monitoring events for regional communities involved in the sampling events
